Studying in Germany also helps prospective university applicants become familiar with the country's education system.
Studying in Germany is becoming increasingly popular. Many programmes at public universities have no tuition fees, and costs can be lower than in the USA, Canada or the UK. Your budget will nevertheless depend on the city, institution, programme and your student status. In Baden-Württemberg, for example, many students from outside the EU/EEA pay €1,500 per semester, or €3,000 per year, with exemptions available. Semester contributions and living expenses must also be included.
Studying in Germany comes with its own challenges: high academic expectations, a demanding pace and the need for independent, motivated work. Language is the place to start. Preparation can take several years, sometimes around three, depending on your starting level and the intensity of study. Prices and results vary considerably between schools. We can suggest different programmes and help you decide where it makes sense to save and where cutting costs would not help. You are always welcome!
